Avenue Road is an estate comprising of 260 homes in Waltham Forest and is currently being considered for regeneration.

Our Role:

NewmanFrancis are your Independent Tenant Resident Advisor and our role is to provide independent & impartial advice and support to all Avenue Road residents including leaseholders, to ensure that you are aware of how the regeneration will impact you.

Since 2019, we have been providing support to Avenue Road Estate residents in helping them understand the regeneration proposals and their rights and options.

In 2019-2020 we surveyed 30% of households on the estate. Some of the main priorities which residents felt were important to them are listed below:

  • Safer and secure living environment
  • Better housing management & maintenance
  • Good quality homes
  • Parking facilities
  • Open spaces and private outdoor space
  • Good quality play facilities for young children and toddlers
  • Activities for young people/teenagers
  • Good local facilities and a place for the community to come together

We also supported residents through understanding the allocations & decant process, and involved the resident project group in the procurement process of selecting the developer.

We are also currently facilitating weekly Coffee & Chat sessions on Wednesday’s, 3pm-6pm which take place on at the portacabins by Mulberry Court (Hall Road side, opposite Downsell School).  You are welcome to drop in to find out more and speak with a member of our team.
