Westbury Estate

Westbury Estate is located in Clapham Town Ward. It is situated on Wandsworth Road and is bound to the west by St. Rule Street and to the east by Portslade Road. A post-war estate, Westbury was designed by the GLC Architects department, and the old estate consists of 242 properties.

Lambeth Council have set out in their engagement plan to improve engagement and community empowerment on their estate projects, to ensure all residents have the opportunity to input into the decision-making process moving forwards.

Our Role:

NewmanFrancis is an independent organisation who specialise in community engagement.

We have been commissioned by Lambeth Council to carry out two events to report on residents’ social value priorities for the future of their estate.

As part of our role, we will be holding two events of different content to hear and capture your community’s views about your priorities.

NewmanFrancis are also the Independent Tenant & Leaseholder Advisors for the Westbury Estate, for more information please visit: Westbury, Lambeth – NewmanFrancis

Thanks for getting involved

Our part in this project has now come to an end.

Thank you to all the residents we spoke to on our two engagement events on the 4th  and 15th November 2023. We appreciate all your input and we hope to work within your community again in the future.

You can find a summary of the findings  in the document below, including a brief overview of the next steps.

Photo Collage Activity

A picture speaks a 1000 words – With your help, we want to create a photo collage of things that you would change or would like to see created on your estate. Got an idea for something that could be improved? Or an area which, with support, could be an asset to your community.

This could be:

  • A communal park area or other outside communal space.
  • An indoor community space (maybe one that is run down or not used)
  • A garden where local volunteers could do with some help

Just remember, it has to be on the estate or part of the immediate community and a benefit to everyone.

You can find out more details and how to submit your photos to our email address or via WhatsApp on the details below, please include the name of your estate, a short explanation of what the photo is and why you chose to share it.  If you don’t use the web, please take your photo and come to our event and we can collect it then!

Email your photos to lambeth@newmanfrancis.org

You can also send your photos in via Whatsapp:  07732 109054
