Avenue Road Draft Residents’ Charter Consultation

NewmanFrancis are your Independent Tenant & Residents’ Advisors and our role is to provide independent and impartial advice and support for Avenue Road residents. We are here to help you understand the regeneration process and how you will be impacted by any changes to your estate.

As part of our role, together with the council and your residents’ group we have developed the draft Avenue Road draft residents’ charter in line with best practice regeneration guidelines.

The charter is a set of principles and commitments that will be set out from Waltham Forest council to their residents.  This charter will guide the council as to how they will work with residents throughout the regeneration process of the Avenue Road estate, and the document will also include more information about residents’ rights and options.

You can view the draft charter online below or by clicking here

You are welcome to provide feedback and make comments over the coming month on what else you feel could be clarified or included within the charter document. Please note that there are certain sections of the residents’ charter that will be added at a later stage of the regeneration process once more information is available (i.e. detailed designs).

We will also be working closely with your Avenue Road Residents’ Regeneration Project Group (RRPG) to further develop the charter document in more detail.

Once the Avenue Road residents’ charter document has been finalised, this will be developed into a booklet which will be delivered to all households on the estate.

For more information, please get in touch or drop in at our weekly Coffee & Chat sessions on the estate which take place on Wednesday’s, 1-7pm at the Portacabins (by Mulberry Court, opposite Downsell School).
